Starting university in London and moving into halls is exciting but it can also bring a lot of uncertainty and leave you feeling overwhelmed with what to expect.
This is where our Unibuddy Community comes in handy… Our UAL Accommodation Services Community is exclusively for those who’ve accepted an offer to study at UAL and want to meet other students who they will be living with. 👋🏡📚
It’s free to join and is the only official online platform where you can connect with UAL students. On the platform, you will connect directly with other students who are preparing to study at UAL and live in our UAL halls from September 2025.
7 reasons to join our UAL Unibuddy Community 🏡
1) Connect with UAL students before you arrive in September 💻
Chat directly with other students at UAL who are starting their studies at UAL and moving into halls. This will hopefully help ease your anxiety about starting university and moving to London.
2) Find your community in halls early 🫶
Wanting to meet others in your hall? Our Unibuddy Community allows you to connect with other incoming students who'll be living in the same halls or studying similar subjects, potentially forming friendships before you even arrive..
3) Ask questions you can't find answers to elsewhere 🙋🏽♀️
You will probably have a lot of questions about your new hall and what it’s like. Speak with other students about what they are doing to prepare for halls, which Halls Life events they’ve signed up to, what to bring/what not to bring or any other questions you may have!
4) Find out about Halls Life events and activities before you arrive 🎉
We’ll share details on our Unibuddy Community about what’s coming up in halls in September, including info about our welcome events hosted by our award-winning Halls Life team.
Be sure to sign up to these events, as it’s a great way to make friends and create some special memories.
5) Reduce culture shock 🌍
If you're moving to a new city or country like London, connecting with students who are feeling the same uncertainty before you arrive can help prepare you for how things work and are done in the UK. From different social cues to language barriers,
Unibuddy will give you access to a network of people living in your flat who might have already navigated the transition to university life and can offer peer-to-peer advice based on their real experiences.
6) It’s a safe online space 📲
Safety and wellbeing of our students is really important to us here at UAL. Our Unibuddy Community is a safe online space where you can chat freely with each other. We ask all those who join the community to read and abide by our community guidelines. Offensive content will be moderated automatically by Unibuddy, and anyone can report content that makes them feel uncomfortable.
7. And the best part - it’s free to join 🥳
Be sure to create an account and get chatting to other students now!
How to join the UAL Unibuddy Community? 🏡
Access is by invitation only and invitations will be sent by email from Unibuddy within 2 weeks of your study offer acceptance. You may also receive registration information from UAL Accommodation Services directly.
